Our member Janet Akehurst has very kindly taken over as secretary whilst Ines is on
maternity leave. Janet’s husband “Stephen” has also very kindly offered to audit our
accounts at no cost, now that he has retired. Many thanks to Janet and Stephen.

Member Christine Bracken held a coffee morning in order to raise awareness, where
She invited friends and family. She raised £20 and sold £20’s worth of raffle tickets for
FMA UK. Well done Christine!

Fibromyalgia Association UK Raffle
A big thank you to everyone who sold and bought tickets for this year’s raffle. This raised
almost £7000. As well as keeping the office running, this will help provide various free
information packs to people with fibromyalgia and medical professionals.

Dear Members,
We would like to take this opportunity
to thank Norah Wickerson for the presentation on her
Combination Approach to Tackling Fibromyalgia
to our group meeting on Monday 17th September 2007,
at the Quaker Meeting House in Sheffield.
It was an excellent presentation and members who
have already benefited from Norah’s advice, gave their
views and experiences since starting the combination
approach and as a result many of our members are
now going to try it.
