Home Page

Welcome,
This is the Official Website for Sheffield Fibromyalgia Self Help Group covering all areas of South Yorkshire and North East Derbyshire.

Our aim is to support, advise and keep all sufferers up to date with information. No one needs to feel isolated after being discharged from the hospital and being returned to GP Management. We have to manage our own Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS) until a cure is found. Rheumatologists, G.P's and other medical professionals are at a loss how to treat us.

We provide at our meetings information packs, a library service, support and a chance to meet other people suffering from the same condition (in all its forms).

In addition we invite individuals to come and talk to us. These people may be therapists, medical professionals or speakers from government departments.

The whole purpose of the meeting is to exchange experiences and information, to share our experiences and our knowledge, discuss what works for us and what doesn't. If support means crying on someone's shoulder so be it, but laughter is a big part of our meeting.
